Entry: Trek: Unknown Durg Torna 2/10/2006

I am more fascinated by Fort architecture दुर्ग-स्थापत्य & geography भूगोल than History इतिहास. I can mention 2 very special and extremely interesting locations on Durg Torna दुर्ग तोरणा, completely unknown to trekkers. My trekking Guru Mr Anand Palande श्री आनंद पाळंदे guided me reaching & understanding these sites.

Disclaimer: These sites are difficult to find & reach. Not recommended for novice trekkers.

  1. Kaapur Take: "कापूर टाके"

Purpose: Currently, it is called as "Taake", but this seems more as a secret discussion hall – "khalabat khana" खलबतखाना

Location: Budhala machee बुधला माची. One has to traverse Budhala pinnacle सुळका from right side and reach the base of the hill "VishaLa" विशाळा. The Taake is located on the LHS, at all most ground level

Features:

  • Completely bujalele taake, water available
  • Supporting pillars carved with simple design – to n' thro design
  • Entrance is almost blocked by mud & soil. We dug out lot of mud to make entry path clear…. We entered the taake. Actually, we found a big room (10' * 8' * 6'), further expanded towards left into more rooms (could not penetrate further). Extremely mysterious!
